Misi (neck) is a potential salary-cap cut in the offseason, ESPN reports.
Misi hasn't stayed healthy for an entire season since 2010 and made it through just three games in 2017 before landing on injured reserve with a neck injury. The Dolphins, who are expected to have a major overhaul at linebacker this offseason after ranking 29th in total defense and 30th against the run, could save $4.2 million by letting him go.
Misi returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday and was therefore expected to return after sitting out Week 4. However, it appears he suffered a setback, since he did not participate in practice Friday and will sit out another week. Look for Donald Butler to get the spot start once again in Week 5 versus the Titans.
Misi (neck) returned to practice Tuesday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Misi missed the last game versus the Bengals but is expected to play and start Sunday against the Titans.
Misi (neck) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bengals, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Misi's neck injury suffered during Week 3's win over the Browns will keep him out of the Dolphins' next tilt. Donald Butler will get the start at strongside linebacker in Misi's absence.
Misi suffered a neck injury in Week 3's tilt with the Browns and is questionable to return.
Look for more updates on Misi's injury to come after the game. Spencer Paysinger (neck) is inactive for the game, leaving the Dolphins very thin in their linebacking corp. Look for Neville Hewitt to see increased action in Misi's absence.
