Despite their reported agreement with free agent running back
Jennings averaged 17.9 touches in the 11 games he played last season, averaging 3.8 yards per carry and rushing for four touchdowns while catching 30 passes for 226 yards. Williams ran for seven scores while averaging 3.3 yards per carry.
It's unclear how the Giants will divide up backfield work. Cutting Jennings after June 1 would save the team $2.25 million against the cap.
Williams, a rookie, ran 15 times for 43 yards and a touchdown, his seventh this year. He caught all three of his targets for 19 yards. Jennings, returning from an ankle injury, rushed 10 times for 29 yards and caught three of five targets for 21 yards.
The duo should enter 2015 in a backfield timeshare.
They'll likely share the load against Philly.
The other running back in New York of interest,
Jennings missed Week 16 with the injury.
The Giants are currently 2 1/2-point favorites against Philadelphia for Sunday's game.
If Jennings can play, he'll mix in with rookie
