Giants' Odell Beckham: Having fifth-year option exercised
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Giants will pick up Beckham's fifth-year contract option, NFL Network's Kimberly Jones reports.

Beckham, a first-round pick in 2014, has accounted for at least 90 catches, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in each season since entering the league, making New York's decision to exercise his option an absolute no-brainer. Firmly in the NFL's best-receiver argument, Beckham will now be under contract with the Giants through 2018, and will likely ink a historic long-term extension before then. In the meantime, he'll welcome Brandon Marshall to the fold this season, when, along with rising second-year pro Sterling Shepard, New York's group of wideouts figures to be its deadliest since Beckham arrived.

Giants' Odell Beckham: Gets new teammate
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

With Brandon Marshall in the fold, Beckham could have more room to run next season, but could potentially lose some targets, particularly in the red zone.

Beckham tied for second in the league with 23 red-zone looks and for sixth with seven targets inside the five. It's possible Marshall won't see heavy usage at age 33, but at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, he's ideally suited for red-zone work. On the positive side, if Marshall resembles the player he was in 2015, the Giants offense should generate more trips to the red zone, and Beckham will likely slightly less attention with Marshall in the fold.

Giants' Odell Beckham: Multiple drops in wild-card loss
by RotoWire Staff | Special to

Beckham hauled in just four of 11 targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 38-13 wild-card loss to the Packers.

Beckham started off the game with an 11-yard reception on his first target, but had a difficult time coming down with the ball thereafter, including on a possible touchdown reception in the first half. The Packers certainly did their part to make life difficult on the talented receiver as well, often bracketing him with double coverage. The end result was a frustrating afternoon for Beckham, despite the fact that he was the only Giants player with double-digit targets. Even though he produced a relatively modest four 100-yard outings in 2016, Beckham wraps up his third Giants campaign with a new career high in receptions (101), although his 10 touchdowns, while certainly impressive, were the least he's tallied in any of his three pro seasons.

Giants' Odell Beckham: Gets held in check versus Redskins
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Beckham caught five of seven targets for just 44 yards in Sunday's 30-10 victory over the Redskins.

Beckham drew a lot of attention from Josh Norman and was able to produce a long gain of just 15 yards en route to an average of just 8.9 yards per catch. Despite this underwhelming performance, Beckham will finish the regular season with a career-high 100 catches for 1,367 yards and 10 touchdowns. His personal success has been directly tied to that of Eli Manning for most of the season, and the duo will need to get on the same page if the Giants are to make any noise in the playoffs.

Giants' Odell Beckham: Explodes for 150 yards receiving in Week 16 loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Beckham secured 11 of 20 targets for 150 yards in Thursday's 24-19 loss to the Eagles.

Taking on a defense that had often been victimized by outside receivers this season, Beckham avenged a four-catch, 46-yard outing against this same Eagles squad back on Nov. 6 with his second-highest yardage total of the season. He accounted for almost a third of Eli Manning's whopping 63 pass attempts on the night, and posted only his fourth 100-yard game of the season in the process. Beckham will look to replicate his success in a Week 17 showdown against a Redskins team that he torched for seven catches and 121 yards back in Week 3.
