Jackson had nine total tackles, a tackle for a loss and recovered a fumble in Sunday's win over Chicago.
After a slow start with just eight tackles the first two games, Jackson's tackle totals are starting to increase. It's no coincidence the increase comes as Indy's secondary returns to full health, forcing opponents to attack the middle of the field more frequently.
Jackson had four tackles, a tackle for a loss and defended a pass in Sunday's loss at Denver.
Jackson improved his tackle totals after making just two in Week 2, but he's still far off his career averages. He's likely been involved in fewer plays with the opposing defense focusing on throwing deep amid Indy's injury-depleted secondary.
Jackson should put up better tackle totals, but he may have been involved in fewer plays with the opposing defense focusing on throwing deep amid Indy's injury-depleted secondary.
D'Qwell Jackson (quadriceps) is active Sunday against the Jaguars.
After putting in limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, he was held out of practice Friday, yet will be in the lineup at inside linebacker. After racking up 11 tackles in each of the last two games, he'll be needed to slow down TJ Yeldon and the Jaguars rushing attack.
D'Qwell Jackson (quad) has been listed as a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Kevin Bowen of Indianapolis Colts .com reports.
Jackson missed practice on Wednesday and Friday due to a quad injury, but was a limited participant on Thursday. If he is held out, it'll be a sizable loss for the Colts' defense as he leads the team with 122 tackles along with two sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception. If he isn't able to play Sunday, look for Sio Moore to grab the start.
