Rucker wasn't able to practice throughout the week as his status for Sunday's matchup doesn't look good. In his potential absence, Rodney Gunter figures to get the start at defensive end.
Rucker suffered a sprained MCL and is expected to miss around two-to-three weeks, Darren Urban of AZcardinals.com reports.
Rucker had offseason ankle surgery and dealt with some other minor injuries in the lead-up to the team's regular season opener on Sunday. However, he was cleared prior to the game and resumed his role as a starter at defensive end. The injury bug has struck again for Rucker, who has now suffered a sprained MCL. He's expected to sit out around two-to-three weeks, so look for Rodney Gunter or Robert Nkemdiche to see some increased reps in his place.
Rucker was limited in practice during the week prior to Friday, but that now appears to have been a precautionary measure. His absence from the injury report indicates he will be ready to go Sunday as the team's starting right defensive end.
