Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara. A convincing argument can be made for Capitals goalie Braden Holtby, but Boston's duo is going to share it because of their dominance when it came to shutting down Alex Ovechkin and the Washington offense. Nearly every shift taken by Ovechkin on Thursday night was countered by the Bruins sending a five-man unit on the ice that was anchored by Bergeron and Chara. How did that work out for Washington? Consider that Ovechkin finished the night by attempting just two shots, only one of which reached the net. And that came on the power play. That's the best way to keep him off the board.Turning Point

For the first two periods a dominating performance by the Bruins that was matched by an equally dominating performance by Capitals rookie goalie Braden Holtby.Honestly, he was the only reason this game even reached overtime as Washington spent most of the game (the first and second periods, anyway) pinned in its own end of the ice. Holtby didn't get much help from his teammates until the third period, but they were never able to break through on Boston goalie Tim Thomas.
Holtby's performance has to be an encouraging sign for the Capitals, but they're not going to win many games in this series if they can't generate more offense. Or any offense.
