SabresBuffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers hasn't played since last Friday, and according to head coach Lindy Ruff on Wednesday morning he won't be available for the final two games of the regular season, and will be out for "a period of time."

Ruff wouldn't go into much detail as to how long Myers will be out, or what exactly the injury is, and would only say that it's a bad foot. In 55 games this season he's scored eight goals to go with 15 assists, and has averaged over 22 minutes of ice-time per game.

Along with Myers, the Sabres are also without defenseman Christian Ehrhoff (knee injury) who hasn't played since March 27, leaving the Buffalo blue line a bit shorthanded for the remainder of the regular season as they fight for one of the remaining playoff spots.

Following Tuesday's wild come-from-behind win against Toronto the Sabres are tied with Washington for the No. 8 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 88 points.

They close out their season with road games at Philadelphia and Boston.
