Enter Thursday's playoff game against Los Angeles, St. Louis Blues defenseman Barret Jackman had never scored a postseason goal in his NHL career.

He sure picked a great time to get his first.

With 51 seconds to play in a tie game, Jackman beat Kings goalie Jonathan Quick for the game-winning goal to give the Blues their second straight dramatic win to take a 2-0 series lead over the defending Stanley Cup champions.

That's the type of series it's been for the Kings so far.

They lost Game 1 on Tuesday -- a game they were outplayed for much of the night -- thanks to a brutal giveaway by Quick behind his own net in overtime that gave Alex Steen an easy goal. And then this happened.

It took the Kings until their 13th playoff game last year to lose their second one on their way to the Stanley Cup. This year they're 0-for-2.
