With less than four minutes to play in Thursday's Jets-Canadiens game, Winnipeg was trailing by three goals in a game it would go on to lose 4-1, resulting in the team falling from the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference all the way down to the 10th spot. Such is life in the Southeast Division.

Evander Kane wasn't exactly pleased with everything that was going on, and went a little crazy in a fight with Canadiens defensemen Alexei Emelin.

Yeah, that was Emelin's helmet Kane was swinging around in the early stages.

Whether Kane was swinging the helmet with the intent to smack Emelin over the head with it or just throwing it off to the side is up for debate. But if it's the former I have to imagine the NHL wouldn't be pleased with that.

No word yet if the league is looking into it (we'll update when we hear for sure).
