VIDEO: Jonathan Quick makes awesome kick save while down
Jonathan Quick is pretty good at this goaltending thing in case you didn't know. Here's Exhibit A: a great kick save on Blake Wheeler while prone on the ice.
Jonathan Quick is no stranger to the spectacular.
The LA Kings goaltender has had a couple of amazing postseason runs the last two years, all the while mixing in some crazy good saves along the way. Remember when he robbed Tomas Fleischmann a couple of weeks ago? Saves like that.
Or saves like this one on Saturday night against Blake Wheeler of the Jets. You see the video above but sometimes the GIF (via the Kings) does it more justice. It's hard to tell if the shot would have gone in or not but if it gets by Quick it could easily be knocked in by Olli Jokinen. It's still pretty incredible.
No goaltender is better than Quick at taking away the bottom of the net. On the flip side, that would seem to leave him vulnerable up high but if he is making kick saves like that then just forget about it.
