ATLANTA -- LaQuinton Ross, some thought, might make himself available for the NBA Draft after averaging 15.0 points in 20.3 minutes per game during this NCAA tournament. But the Ohio State wing has decided to return to school for his junior season, a source told CBSSports.com on Sunday.
Ross, once rated as the No. 1 player in his class, came off the bench for the Buckeyes this season. But the 6-foot-8 Mississippi native projects as OSU's primary scorer next season given A) the way he played in March, and B) that Deshaun Thomas is turning pro.
This development means OSU will return four of its top five scorers.
The Buckeyes lost to Wichita State in the Elite Eight this season and finished 29-8.
