This week's big news in college basketball is that Louisville released its notice of allegations from the NCAA on Thursday. Upon reading it, folks had a few questions.

Did Rick Pitino really not know a staffer was hiring escorts for recruits and players?

Will the NCAA suspend him?

Is Louisville going to lose its 2013 national championship banner?

Matt Norlander and I discussed all of that at the top of this episode, and here's what I think: First things first, yes, I believe Pitino was in the dark, if only because I can't imagine any head coach signing off on a staffer bringing escorts to campus and involving literally dozens of people in Level I violations.

Whether he should have known what was going on is a fair question.

But, honestly, I don't think he knew.

Moving on, yes, I do believe Pitino will face some sort of NCAA-administered suspension for failing to monitor Andre McGee, but I don't believe it'll be any thing too significant. And, no, I don't think Louisville will lose its 2013 national championship banner -- even though I'm not convinced the Cardinals should keep it.

If the NCAA proves Louisville used impermissible benefits to land a recruit who went on to help the Cardinals win that 2013 national title, why shouldn't Louisville vacate that 2013 national title? I think that's a reasonable question to ask. And I can't wait to hear the NCAA try to answer it without contradicting itself.

Beyond the Louisville stuff, we discussed Michigan State's injury problems, the recently released Coaches Poll, Norlander's ranking of all 351 Division I teams, and Theo Pinson's broken foot at North Carolina.
