Cincinnati will wear a special red chrome helmet in the Belk Bowl against North Carolina, marking the fourth straight postseason appearance with a commemorative helmet for the Bearcats.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the helmets will be available for purchase by fans for a $1,000 contribution to UCATS, with the proceeds going towards "enhancements which will benefit all 18 varsity sports."
Cincinnati is back in the Belk Bowl for the second straight year, its first postseason appearance under Tommy Tuberville. The Bearcats' first-year coach was in attendance last season for the Bearcats' thrilling 48-34 win against Duke in Charlotte.
