Mastro declines NFL's pistol interest out of loyalty to Kaepernick

"As long as Colin [Kaepernick] is in the NFL, I'm not going to do that," Mastro told CBSSports.com Monday. "He is like a son to me.

"There are plenty of people they [NFL teams] can get ahold of that can help them."

The 25-year-old Kaepernick led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl last season in his second year in the league as the pistol became one of the hottest offensive additions in pro football. In his first career playoff game, Kaepernick set an NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback with 181 in a 45-21 win over the Green Bay Packers.
