Deon Cain won't be on the field for Clemson in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship against Alabama on Monday night, but he'll have a chance to return to the Tigers next season as a full-time student for the spring semester.

Cain was one of three Clemson players suspended for the Orange Bowl because of an unspecified violation of team rules. Coach Dabo Swinney told reporters before playing Oklahoma that none of the suspended players are "bad guys" and that Cain would have an opportunity to rejoin the team after the season.

Now that Cain is officially back in classes for the spring semester, according to the Associated Press, the potential of a transfer can be squashed and Tiger fans can begin looking forward to what he can offer as a sophomore in 2016.

Cain, one of the most talented freshmen on a team loaded with youth, emerged as one of Deshaun Watson's favorite targets down the field late in the season, finishing 2015 with 34 catches for 582 yards and five touchdowns.
