South Florida defensive end LaDarrius Jackson has been "removed from all team activities" following his arrest Monday night by university police on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment of another student.

"We are aware of the charges filed against [Jackson]," coach Charlie Strong said in a statement released by the university to the Tampa Bay Times

"While we find the allegations troubling, we will continue to gather information and support the judicial process before providing further comment."

At Texas, Strong developed a reputation as a strict disciplinarian, kicking several players off the Longhorns roster for not following his code of core values. While Strong and the school are going to let the judicial process play out, the details from the arrest don't bode well for Jackson's future with the Bulls.

According to an arrest report filed by USF police, Jackson forced a woman to perform sex Monday afternoon despite her verbal and physical efforts to resist him. He forced her into her room after she placed her hands on a wall in an attempt to stop him, pushed her onto the bed and straddled her, the report says.

Jackson, 22, played in seven games last season, recording three tackles. He arrived at USF in the 2016 recruiting class as a three-star junior college prospect from Hinds Community College in Jackson, Mississippi.
