You run the UCLA football Twitter feed, it's a random Monday afternoon in the offseason, and you want to do something nice to promote the good work of assistant head coach and linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich.
Hey, his last name starts with "U," that's kind of unusual. How about "Linebacker U"? That has a nice ring to it. Yeah, you'll go with that, even hashtag it up. Coolsville:

Of course, there's a catch: there's another rather prominent FBS program, you know, that's rather closely associated with the term "Linebacker U." And it turns out that, no, the folks running Penn State's Twitter accounts don't take kindly to such appropriations.
Here's the official Penn State recruiting feed's response, which was tweeted out Monday morning:
WE ARE...LINEBACKER U! pic.twitter.com/hLVQ563oAv

That message was quickly retweeted by the Nittany Lions' main account. It could just be an astonishing coincidence, of course, that the folks in State College picked Tuesday to declare in all-caps, "WE ARE ... LINEBACKER U." But somehow, we doubt it.
As for the Penn State fans' reaction to the UCLA tweet, well, here's Nittany Lion blog Black Shoe Diaries:
