Smith (hamstring) was placed on the disabled list Tuesday, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
Smith has been dealing with a sore left hamstring that he was initially able to pitch through, but the issue was enough to hold him out of Sunday's contest and will now sidelined him for the time being. The reliever has worked to a 3.91 ERA in 25 appearances and will be replaced on the roster by fellow reliever Michael Morin.
