Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Heads to DL with neck injury

Keuchel was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday with a pinched nerve in his neck, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

On the bright side, the move is retroactive to Wednesday, so the team only expects the ace to miss one start. Keuchel has put together a resurgence to stardom this season, leading the American League with a 1.84 ERA and compiling an impressive 54:14 K:BB. It's unclear who will take his spot for his projected start against Detroit on Monday, but it's safe to expect the southpaw back in the rotation next Saturday against the Orioles. Relief pitcher Ashur Tolliver was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move.
