Athletics' Deolis Guerra: Surgery scheduled

Guerra will undergo elbow surgery April 13, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Guerra experienced forearm tightness in late March and was later diagnosed with a UCL injury. The specifics of his procedure are still unclear. If he has to undergo Tommy John surgery, he won't be back until the middle of next season, though it's possible he'll undergo a different surgery with a shorter recovery timeline.
