Nunez was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
Nunez was having a strong spring, slashing .333/.368/.722 across 18 at-bats while adding two home runs and four RBI. The 22-year-old will likely spend the year at Triple-A, where he still has a little left to prove before he's ready for the big leagues.
