Alford (knee) is playing in extended spring training games this week, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.
He has been out almost three weeks after jamming his knee in a game, and while the team's lack of detail on the injury was a little concerning, it's great news that he's playing in games. Once fully healthy, he should rejoin High-A Dunedin, where his bat should be advanced enough to warrant a promotion to Double-A sometime this summer.
