Pompey (concussion) is not expected to join the big-league team once he's activated from the DL, MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm reports.
The outfielder suffered a concussion in the World Baseball Classic; an exact date for his return remains uncertain, though he's eligible to come off the DL this week. Despite Pompey moving up the depth chart after Melvin Upton was cut at the end of spring training, there's still no room for the former on the MLB squad. It will likely take an injury for Pompey to see time with the Jays in 2017.
