Travis (knee) is running the bases for the first time this spring and will hit in a minor league game Friday, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.
The second baseman still has some steps to take before facing Grapefruit League pitching. Fantasy owners should expect at least a small absence to begin the season if Travis can't complete these activities, but despite his injury-prone reputation, the keystoner has made progress and hasn't yet been ruled out for Opening Day.
