Braun (oblique) is not in Friday's lineup for the series opener against the Pirates.
Braun will miss the second straight game after being a late scratch for Thursday's contest due to right side tightness. He will be replaced in the field by Jake Elmore, who will slide over after starting the last game at third, while Hernan Perez takes over at the hot corner. Braun should be considered day-to-day for now.
