Russell went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Marlins, dropping his season batting average to .209.

Russell was hitting .258 at the end of April, but he's batting just .153 over his last 30 games. He's not striking out any more than he did last season, but his BABIP has dropped 20 points, suggesting his average could rebound if he gets a bit better luck when he puts the ball in play. However, this was a guy who only hit .238 in 2016 (albeit with 21 home runs and 95 RBI), so fantasy owners may have to just live with a poor batting average.
