Cubs' Spencer Patton: Recalled from Triple-A Iowa

Patton was recalled from Triple-A Iowa, Patrick Mooney of CSN Chicago reports.

Patton will fill a roster spot that opened up after Chris Coghlan was placed on the DL. Patton has excelled with Iowa, posting a 0.77 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 34 games. Unfortunately, his success hasn't translated to the MLB where he owns an ERA and WHIP of 5.11 and 1.54, respectively.
