Jennings (knee) was released by the Rays on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Jennings was not claimed off waivers after being designated for assignment, and he is now a free agent who is free to sign with any team. It's not clear how healthy his knee is given that he was on the Rays' disabled list prior to his release, but he figures to garner some interest from other teams.
