Pollock (elbow) could begin the season on the DL if he doesn't get enough at-bats to be ready for Opening Day, MLB.com reports. "We're getting to that point where we want him to play pretty much every day and get at-bats, so if that's not possible, then maybe the DL is the option," manager Chip Hale said.

He played in a minor league game Saturday and will again Sunday before being evaluated. He hasn't played in a major league game since Mar. 8 due to elbow soreness. He may only play minor league games the final week so his DL stint could be backdated to early March. However, Hale did say he thought Pollock would be able to get enough at-bats the final week without a setback.
