Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez: Sitting against a southpaw Sunday

Gonzalez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Gonzalez will take a seat against southpaw Robbie Ray, as manager Dave Roberts will trot out a lineup almost entirely void of left-handed bats (with the exception of Corey Seager). The plattoon splits of Gonzalez aren't all that drastic, as he owns a .269 batting average against left-handers, but Roberts will elect to play matchups nonetheless. Scott Van Slyke will get the starting nod at first base in place of Gonzalez.
