Fister agreed Thursday to terms on a one-year contract with the Astros, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart reports.
Coming off a down season in Washington, the 31-year-old Fister will hope to rebuild his value with a strong campaign in Houston. He'll probably be the No. 5 starter, knocking Scott Feldman from the rotation to a long relief/spot starter role.
