Parker had a big night at the plate Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with a double, his second homer of the spring and four RBI in a spring training loss to the Dodgers.

Parker has taken an early lead in front of Mac Williamson for the starting left field job battle with another big performance at the plate. Manager Bruce Bochy said he was particularly satisfied with his approach against the Dodgers' left-handers Wednesday. The 28-year-old has historically struggled against southpaws throughout his major and minor league career, so he would likely be platooned if he does end up winning the job out of spring. There is still plenty of time left this spring training for the roles to reverse, but Parker has to be considered the favorite as of now.
