Anderson underwent an arthroscopic debridement of his right elbow Wednesday and will resume throwing in eight weeks, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.

He is expected to be ready for Opening Day, although he may not be ready to pitch in games at the outset of spring training. Anderson will be stretched out as a starter, despite his lack of success in that role last year. He has some intriguing pitches that suggest he could make a leap at some point, but for now he should operate as a swing man.
