Bauer (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks across six innings during Monday's loss to the Blue Jays. He struck out six.

Bauer struggled a bit early on, allowing a two-run homer in the second inning and two more runs on three hits in the third. He was able to bounce back thereafter, allowing just two baserunners the rest of the way, but Marcus Stroman's gem on the other side resigned him to his fourth loss of the young season. It's telling that this was actually one of Bauer's better outings in 2017 -- it lowered his hefty ERA to 7.36. He continues to whiff batters at a high rate, but Bauer has been ineffective in nearly all his starts this year. The righty will be a shaky fantasy play even against a substandard Twins lineup in his next start Sunday.
