Marlins targeting Mat Gamel for third base

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that the Marlins are considering free agent Mat Gamel as a potential starting third baseman. Gamel has not played since May 2012, as he has torn his ACL twice.

The Cubs non-tendered Gamel last week after having claimed him off waivers from the Brewers earlier this fall.
