Mets' Curtis Granderson: Remains out Thursday

Granderson (calf) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Cubs, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.

Granderson was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup as he continued to feel the lingering effects of a slight calf strain and he'll get another day off Thursday. The 35-year-old was used as a pinch-hitter in Wednesday's contest though, so it appears as though the ailment is relatively minor and he figures to be available in a similar capacity Thursday. Brandon Nimmo will slide over to right field in his place, while Kelly Johnson will draw the start in left field.
