Nationals' Daniel Murphy: Heads to bench Tuesday

Murphy is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Pirates, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Murphy will take a seat after going 0-for-6 across both games of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies. Wilmer Difo will draw the start at second base in his stead. Murphy is putting together another nice season, and he is sporting a healthy triple slash of .317/.385/.531 with 30 RBI across 36 games (145 at-bats).
