Murphy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run prior to being ejected before the beginning of the 10th inning of Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.

He took a called third strike in the ninth and got tossed by home plate umpire Laz Diaz after jawing about it from the dugout. The homer was Murphy's sixth of the season to go along with a .333/.389/.561 slash line, 29 RBI and 22 runs in 32 games. He's showing no signs of regressing from his 2016 breakout, and with Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmerman off to equally hot starts ahead of him in the Nats' batting order, Murphy should continue piling up the counting stats.
