Glover struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to pick up his fifth save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Padres.
He's now fired seven consecutive scoreless appearances since coming off the disabled list with a 0.90 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB in 6.2 innings over that stretch. Assuming Glover's hip doesn't become an issue again, the 24-year-old appears to be locking up the closer role for the Nats.
