Davis (oblique) will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, but manager Buck Showalter suggested the first baseman will likely be bound for the disabled list, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Davis didn't want to talk about the oblique injury with reporters after exiting Monday's game against the White Sox, which is definitely not a good sign. The initial diagnosis right now is a strained oblique. The MRI will determine the severity, and Davis could miss multiple months if it proves to be a high-grade strain.
