Hardy (wrist, elbow) was able to complete pregame throwing and hitting drills Thursday, The Baltimore Sun's Eduardo A. Encina reports.
If all goes well, Hardy could be reinstated from the 60-day DL ahead of Friday's game in Cleveland. The shortstop has been out since mid-June with a fractured right wrist, but has experienced some elbow discomfort following a rehab assignment. Upon his return, it's likely that Hardy will settle into a bench role behind Tim Beckham.
