Borbon was designated for assignment Sunday, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Borbon's stint with the club was short-lived, as he was recalled Saturday as a late replacement for Adam Jones, who continues to deal with a hamstring injury. Rather than keep Borbon around another day, the club decided they were satisfied with the remaining members of their bench, and instead opted to bolster the depth of their bullpen.
