Ondrusek (ankle) made his first appearance of spring training Friday, giving up a hit and striking out one in one scoreless inning.
Ondrusek first reported having swelling and soreness 11 days earlier, but it appears that his ankle issue is now behind him. The 34-year-old right-hander was able to get through his inning with relative ease and showed no signs of favoring his ankle -- that's cause for optimism that the injury he suffered will not linger.
