Flaherty, who was placed on the 10-day DL on Sunday with right shoulder inflammation, is likely to need longer than the minimum time before returning, the Associated Press reports.

Manager Buck Showalter said his utility man "could very possibly" need longer than 10 days to recover. The injury news came as a surprise, but obviously Flaherty is dealing with a somewhat serious ailment. He wasn't exactly offering much fantasy value before the injury, hitting just .233/.324/.267 over just 13 games. Before landing on the DL, Flaherty was on pace to log a career-low 116 at-bats this season.
