Padres' Adam Rosales: Hits bench following three starts in a row

Rosales is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Rosales had logged the last three starts at second base, as the Reds had brought three lefties to the mound in a row. For the time being, it appears manager Andy Green is content to roll out a platoon of Rosales and Ryan Schimpf at the keystone until Cory Spangenberg (quad) returns from the DL, likely around the All-Star break. As the right-handed hitter of the two, Rosales generally should be expected to see fewer at-bats than Schimpf.
