Capps (elbow) is working on his mechanics in Arizona at extended spring training and may require an extension on his rehab stint, A.J. Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Capps gave up five runs and recorded just two outs Thursday for Triple-A El Paso. Whether this ineffectiveness is due to his elbow flaring up or just his struggles to repeat his mechanics is unclear. He was previously expected to return mid-May, but after this news, his return could be delayed a week or two.
