Padres' Christian Villanueva: Headed to DL with broken finger

Villanueva will be placed on the disabled list with a fractured finger, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Villanueva was reportedly battling a "nagging" finger issue, but the issue is apparently more serious. It's not clear how long he'll be out. A corresponding move to fill his bench role is expected to come Thursday.
