Cahill (shoulder) played catch before Friday's game, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
He was also scheduled to be reevaluated Friday, but it is unclear exactly what the results of that examination were. He has not pitched since May 13, and if everything checks out, he should continue with a throwing program before eventually heading out on a rehab assignment.
