Padres' Tyson Ross: Plays catch for first time since injury

Ross (shoulder) was on the field playing catch before Wednesday's game, MLB.com's AJ Cassavell reports.

This is the first time Ross has throw in the outfield before a game since hitting the DL in April. The recovery process has been slow to date, and he is not expected back until after the All-Star break, but at least he is now making some tangible progress.
