Benoit earned his second hold of the season Sunday with a scoreless inning in a 4-3 win over the Nationals.
Benoit has allowed just one hit with four strikeouts and a walk in three innings so far. He could be in the mix for save chances with Jeanmar Gomez expected to lose his closing gig as of Monday. Hector Neris might be the best choice to close in Philly, but the team could decide he's better used in a setup role, where he can be deployed earlier if needed. That would leave Benoit or Edubray Ramos as the next-best options to close.
